A. No, there is no waiting period. You are covered for the full benefit amount from the first day coverage takes effect.

A. There is no easy answer to this question. Q. Will my rates ever increase?
A. Yes, rates are determined by your age and will increase based on pre-determined 5 year age bands. Age bands begin at ages 30-34 and end at ages 70-74. Policy is not eligible for purchase after age 74. Age 75-80 band is available for renewals only.
Q. Does coverage end at a certain age?
A. Yes, coverage under this policy ends at age 80.
Q. Are there any circumstances under which payments can be waived?
A. Yes. We will waive payments for the policy and all riders attached to it for one six-month period if you become unemployed while the policy is in force. Exclusions & Limitations
Q. What is the Accelerated Death Benefit?
A. Your policy will come with an Accelerated Death Benefit feature that will allow you to receive 94% of the death benefit if you provide evidence that your life expectancy is 12 months or less. Once the benefit is paid, the policy is terminated. Exclusions & Limitations
Q. What is the optional Accidental Death Benefit?
A. In addition, you have the option to increase your benefit amount by purchasing the Accidental Death benefit which can pay up to an additional 100% of the policies benefit amount. Q. What isn’t covered?
A. If death results from suicide, while sane or insane, within two years (one year in ND), benefits will not be paid. Instead we will return all premiums paid.

Waiver of Premium Exclusions & Limitations

This benefit is available beginning 24 months after the policy issue date. The insured must receive state or federal unemployment benefits for four consecutive weeks and provide proof of receiving such benefits withing 90 days after the end of this four-week period.

Accelerated Death Benefit Exclusions & Limitations

The Accelerated Death benefit will not be available if the Insured's medical condition is the result of an intentionally self-ndicted injury; or all or part of the policy's death benefit has been awarded to a former spouse as part of a divorce decree.

Accidental Death Exclusions & Limitations

If any of the following caused or contributed to the insured's death, the benefit will not be paid: Suicide, or intentionally self-inflicted injury, while sane or insane; commission or attempted commission of a felony; travel in or descent from an aircraft, if the insured acted in a capacity other than as a passenger; war or an act of war; (1) war includes, but is not limited to, declared war and armed aggresion by one or more countries resisted on orders of any other country, combination of countries or international organization; and (2) act of war means any act peculiar to military, naval or air operations in time of war; disease or infirmity of mind or body; an infection not occuring as a direct result or consequence of the accidental bodily injury; voluntary intake or use by any means of (1) any drug, unless prescribed or administered by physician and taken according to the physician's instructions; or (2) poison, gas, or fumes, unless a direct result of an occupational accident; intoxication as defined by the jusrisdiction where the accidental bodily injury occurred; participation in an illegal occupation or activity; active participation in a riot, insurrection, or terrorist activity; or accidental bodily injured received while the insured is incarcerated.
